PHOTO & VIDEO

UNDERSTANDING The problem

To understand the problem, the company faced challenges in managing global photo and video production across multiple regions. The lack of clear communication and inconsistent visual direction led to delays, inefficiencies, and assets that didn’t meet the global standards or local needs. There was a need for a streamlined approach that could coordinate resources, align teams, and ensure brand consistency across different markets, especially Europe and North America. Additionally, language barriers and diverse cultural expectations required careful management to ensure accessibility and relevance of the content across regions.

Regions: Europe and North America

The SOLUTION

The solution involved developing a streamlined approach, including contracting the right photographers and videographers, creating comprehensive photo and video briefs, and storyboarding video concepts to ensure a cohesive visual direction. Additionally, I designed video overlays and lower-thirds to maintain brand consistency, managed language translation requests to ensure accessibility across regions, and oversaw project management to facilitate collaboration between North American and European teams. This approach ensured that all photo and video assets met the company’s global standards and were delivered on time.

PRODUCT EXPLORATION

UNDERSTANDING The problem

The challenge was to develop a high-end firearm hearing protection earmuff that balanced innovation, durability, and CMF (Color, Material, and Finish), as there was a lack of premium options in the market. ISOtunes Sport sought to create the first high-end earmuff designed specifically for firearm users. The need arose from the demand for a protective yet comfortable solution for users in high-noise shooting environments, especially those using long firearms who often struggle with traditional earmuffs interfering with their use. The design aimed to address this issue while ensuring optimal hearing protection, comfort, and a premium look and feel in shooting scenarios.

Regions: Europe and North America

The SOLUTION

The solution involved a structured design process aimed at creating an innovative, durable, and visually appealing firearm hearing protection earmuff that also reflected a high-end, slim profile. The process began with low-fidelity sketches to explore various design concepts, allowing for quick iteration and refinement. Once a direction was chosen, mid-fidelity vector art was developed to fine-tune proportions, integrate color, and define the product’s overall aesthetic. The product was designed to be both functional and sleek, ensuring it conveyed premium quality while remaining compact. After presenting the designs to key stakeholders—including the company owner, sales teams from Europe and North America, and product engineers—feedback was gathered, and the designs received approval. High-fidelity 3D renderings were initiated to provide realistic visualizations, although the project was paused before completion due to shifting company priorities.

My Role: Developed Low-Fidelity Sketches, Created Mid-Fidelity Vector Art, Presented Final Designs to Stakeholders for Feedback and Approval, and Managed Design Iterations.
